Project Planner

In your role as a Project Planner, you work with Project Managers, project teams, and other participants to develop and maintain appropriate plans and schedules designed to complete a project, a group of unrelated projects, or a program (a group of related projects).

As a State Farm Project Planner, you:

  • Are a member of a core team working at the direction of a Project Manager (PM) and providing day-to-day support for the PM
  • Work with the PM, project team, and others to determine which tasks you will handle on a particular project
  • Facilitate the planning process with the project team
  • Develop project plans and resource-loaded schedules
  • Coordinate the collection, input, and monitoring of project status
  • Perform analysis of status information
  • Utilize the results as the basis for project status reporting
  • Provide analysis against the plan and critical path regarding changes to scope, resources, and target dates
  • May need to support multiple projects or a program, depending on work experience and project allocation
  • Must be creative, organized, detailed-oriented, and able to assimilate information quickly
  • Must be flexible and able to work under tight deadlines
  • Must work with little direct supervision and effectively handle conflict and negotiate solutions in a team environment
