Lakitsia: I can go to my son's football games
This is an excellent opportunity, whether you’re a mom, a wife, you’re a lady – it doesn’t matter. This is the one thing in your life that you can control your own destiny.
I can go to my son’s football game and network and still find customers. I can go to church and I can sponsor a church event and find customers. I can go to work and play with my team because my team and I have a very good relationship.
Kendall is five years old, and Kaitlin is three. She’s definitely the ham of the bunch.
While both of us have very demanding careers, I think the thing that we agree on is our family is first.
I think it takes a lot of hard work. I think it takes a lot of organization and communication.
While it is very demanding, there are the pluses that are there that outweigh it.
It gives me the flexibility to go on field trips with my kids during the day, whether it’s the Dairy Queen or the museum. And it also gives me that opportunity to be able to meet with customers late night or in the mornings, which is more flexible for their schedules too.
This is why I became a State Farm agent, because State Farm is such a wonderful company when it comes to work/life balance and family.
